Do you remember as a child feeling uplifted, joyful and inspired, doing something that you loved to do? That’s a true feeling. As you grew older and had to learn to navigate the systems of society – family, school, church etc. – you may have tended to live more from what you thought would please others rather than your own inspiration. We may forget that when we live from our heart’s desire, everything else in life becomes more harmonious including our physical health and relationships.

Cooperation with the rest of the world begins with cooperation within ourselves. Cooperation automatically happens when we listen to our true feelings and use our intellect to organize and put into action what we want to do. It’s thus important to find ways not to over think but to let the joyful child-like part of us bubble up and shine!

Each soul has a life purpose or “calling”. Do we listen to that “calling” or do we let the outer world drown it out? When we try to fit in or live up to someone else’s expectations, we miss opportunities to be our genuine true self!

Walking through life from a higher state of consciousness of cooperation takes commitment, dedication and determination. It means following the beat of our own drum and teaming up with like-minded people who have a similar purpose. As Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

Here are some ideas to encourage cooperation within yourself so you can better cooperate with others:

  • Courageously listen to your true feelings and do what you truly
    desire.
  • Balance being true to you and at the same time taking care of your
    outer responsibilities.
  • Practice balance by understanding your feelings and having a
feeling for each of your ideas.
  • Sit by a body of water – the ocean, a brook, lake or river – and
soak up the harmony and clarity of the water.
  • Take time to be around nature on a daily basis even if it’s only a
    short walk outside.
  • Take time daily for even a 5 minute meditation with breathing exercises.
  • Take time once a week when you can completely relax – there are
    many ways to do this.
  • Trust yourself and the inner inspirations that come to
    you.

By living from your true feelings in a way that meets your needs and the needs of those around you, you are walking through life from a higher state of consciousness. You will experience the fulfillment from truly being of service. Every day can be a garden of happiness and joy when you listen to your heart and follow your true feelings.

Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful, the planners, the doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground. Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world better than when you found it.
